V&AAF members attend the V&A Summer Party
An evening of Parisian-inspired elegance at the V&A Summer Party.
On June 19, members of the V&AAF were treated to an evening of Parisian-inspired elegance at the V&A Summer Party. Hosted in partnership with Dior, guests donned an array of the fashion house’s eye-catching pieces, honoring the success of the V&A’s sold-out Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition. The annual event took place in the John Madejski Garden, at the heart of the museum, which was transformed into Le Jardin Anglais, an homage to Christian Dior’s own beloved garden in Granville, France. Sipping on French-inspired botanical cocktails, the star-studded group were entertained by DJ Lady Mary Charteris and a performance from British singer-songwriter Joy Crookes on a floating flower-covered pagoda.
Celebrities and leading cultural figures were in attendance, including Felicity Jones, Lady Amelia Windsor, Joan Collins, Tom Hollander, Bianca Jagger, Emilia Wickstead and Andrew Lloyd-Webber. After hearing from V&A Director Tristram Hunt and Chairman Sir Nicholas Coleridge, guests enjoyed the decadent patisserie counter where pyramids of macaroons and towering croquembouche choux pastries awaited.
