V&AAF and Society of Four Arts host Hollywood Costume lecture
In March 2014, a lecture marked the V&AAF’s continued collaboration with the Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach. Film and theatre costume designer, Professor Deborah Nadoolman Landis, introduced the narrative development and innovative design of Hollywood Costume, the V&A’s blockbuster exhibition now touring the US.
Hollywood Costume explores the central role that costume design plays in cinema storytelling, bringing together the most iconic costumes from across a century of filmmaking. The exhibition ran from October 2014 through March 2015 at the historic Wilshire May Company Building, the future location of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, at Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles.
