V&A Summer Party 2018
On June 20, members of the V&AAF enjoyed a glamorous night at the V&A. The star-studded annual Summer Party was held in the Museum’s beautiful John Madejski Garden, where guests were entertained by DJ Lady Mary Charteris and British singer-songwriter Tom Grennan who performed on a floating stage.
An eclectic mix of royalty, celebrities and leading cultural figures were in attendance, including Princess Beatrice, Bianca Jagger, Russell Wilson and Ciara, Brooklyn Beckham, Yinka Shonibare, Gwendoline Christie and Amber Le Bon.
Hosted by chairman Sir Nicholas Coleridge and director Dr. Tristram Hunt, in partnership with Harrods, guests were treated to bespoke cocktails, tuna sashimi and jamón ibérico, with chili tequila shots for the brave, and decadent ice-cream carts for the sweet-toothed.
During the evening it was announced by Sir Nicholas Coleridge that the V&A’s David Bowie is… exhibition has now welcomed over two million visitors, making it the most-visited international touring show in the V&A’s history.
